In partnership with two faith-based nonprofits, we have participated for several years in an annual effort that brings Asian young adults to the U.S. for an extended homestay program.
This program has several objectives, but our role is primarily educational. In their desire to help these Asian Christians become more firmly established in their faith, the leaders of this program asked us to develop and conduct a teaching program that would take the students through a chronological study of the Bible. This 12-part program has been very successful and in 2017 the Student Notebook portion was translated into Mandarin.
In addition, an effort is currently underway to update the curriculum and prepare training materials so select participants can return to their home country prepared to teach the material in their own ministry context.
