With the motto, “Transforming Communities by Developing Servant Leaders”, LILD was formed in 2005 to respond to needs within the ethnic Nepali community in central Manipur, India. LILD works closely with the Nepali Gorkhali Baptist Churches Association on several different initiatives in addition to their primary goal of leadership development, including vocational training, literacy projects, and health initiatives in partnership with Kangpokpi Christian Hospital (see below).
CDI has been assisting LILD in their training efforts for a number of years, and we are currently in discussion with their leaders regarding increased involvement and new possibilities for partnership.
