Bringing Positive Change

As you already know, passionate, strategic organizations and faithful, established churches around the world are already working hard to bring positive change to their communities by improving the spiritual, economic, health, environmental, educational, and infrastructure conditions in their local setting.

However, their efforts are often hindered by inadequate access to critical resources, networks, and knowledge.  These barriers are especially prevalent in small to medium-sized churches and organizations in underserved countries and domestic communities.

How Do We Help?

Collaborative Development International (CDI) exists to come alongside these churches and organizations to see barriers removed or mitigated so their efforts can flourish.  Whether it is bringing medical-surgical care to the underserved in Northeast India, training church leaders in best practices in the U.S., or evaluating faith-based partnerships in Burundi, Haiti, or Bulgaria, we have partnered with various organizations to identify opportunities and constraints then apply appropriate resources through creative, collaborative, partnership-based solutions.

This is good, but could be better.

Rob Foster, the founder and Director of CDI, has 35 years of experience in for-profit and non-profit efforts in the U.S. and in 14 countries around the world.  He is a gifted speaker, trainer, strategist, and non-profit practitioner with broad access to various networks.  He is uniquely gifted to serve our partners both inside and outside the church community.

Now, we are poised to launch a new effort to leverage this broad experience and maximize contribution towards development by amplifying and honing our efforts.  This strategic effort will allow us to more effectively serve our partners as they seek to bring positive change.

What Will This Look Like?

CDI has recently opened its SW Oregon office as Rob Foster has relocated to Brookings.  Over the next 18 - 24 months we will be prioritizing the following efforts:

  • Expanding our organizational and professional capacity. We will re-structure and relaunch CDI’s online presence and digital resources, and implement changes to our corporate structure to broaden our scope and function.
  • Strengthening existing international networks and relationships, particularly in Asia
  • Exploring and establishing new domestic networks beyond Southern California.
  • Identifying potential income streams that decrease the need for long-term, non-client donors
