What is so special about our work in India? It is the deep and caring relationships that have developed over the past 20 years. It is these relationships that have provided the foundation for successful partnership. What have we learned by prioritizing relationships? Mainly, that they require an investment of time. Why? Three primary reasons:
- Good partnerships allow projects to grow out of relationships, not vice-versa
- Good partnerships allow space to learn and grow together through a reciprocal, collaborative process
- Good partnerships require a high level of trust, only possible over time
The photo above is of our dear friends and partners, Apinao and Lorho Pfoze with InTOUCH, an organization making a tremendous difference in the community of Mao, Manipur. It is a blessing for us to support them in their efforts, and we look forward to our upcoming visit in October of this year.
